I got the idea for this post from a YouTuber (a dash of ash) who did the same thing. I think it’s an excellent idea to show all the books since it is close to mid year. Also, I don’t talk about every book I read so I thought this would be informative. In this post you’ll see all 15 books I’ve read thus far this year, why I chose to read them, and what I thought.
March was a pretty wonderful month. I went to visit friends from college and also to visit my grandparents in Alabama. I read three books but wrote a lot of words for my own story.
This Top Ten Tuesday topic was surprisingly difficult. Every book that I read that is not set in my surroundings is usually a fantasy book set in a made-up place. I know that there are lots of YA Contemporary Fiction books set in other countries but I don’t usually read those. I know that there are good ones but I feel like a lot of them have spoiled main characters that don’t want to be where they are and I get annoyed. These are the the books that I’ve either read or am interested in reading that are set in another country.
This post is inspired by my recent trip to Home Depot. I went with my friends to look at plants when our nursery of choice was closed for the day. I used to work at Home Depot in the garden department and that time made me very interested in plants. Just being there made me very excited for spring and summer! I loved gardening last year and this year I’ll be even more prepared and I’ll also have twice as much space to plant. So these are all the plants I think I’ll definitely be able to grow.
This Top Ten Tuesday topic (hosted by The Artsy Reader Girl –by the way I love the way she took this TTT prompt. Go check it out!) is definitely one of my favorites. In fact, February is one of my favorite times to be a blog reader because bloggers write about romance recommendations in February and I love bookish love!
This week’s TTT intrigued me because I do have a very good memory when it comes to the things I read (it’s my secret weapon in test taking.) So I thought that I was going to have to scroll pretty far back on my Goodreads book list! I was right.
November was pretty awesome! I traveled a little for Thanksgiving (not as much as I would have liked but *shrugs* oh well.) I participated in NaNoWriMo, read great books, and did some fun things.
