I love the topic of this week’s Top Ten Tuesday (hosted by The Broke and The Bookish.) Even though I’m basically swimming in 2017 released books, these all look amazing! There are so many more but the following ten are ones that I am most excited for.
I have had my eye on this cover for a very long time! I think it is beautiful and the description speaks of dark faerie tales which is right up my alley.
This book looks very grim. There’s a town famous for suicides and a girl that goes through the bodies trying to find money to get her and her sister out of a desperate situation. I can’t wait to unravel the secrets this book promises!
I am mostly attracted to this one because I love the name Wren. I am confused about the synopsis, it sounds like it might be a weirder retelling of Romeo and Juliet? I love weird so I am excited despite my confusion!
This book is by the amazing blogger Cait from Paperfury! She is so funny and her opinions on books are all spot-on so I feel this is going to be excellent! Check out her blog and add her book on Goodreads!
I follow Shea on Twitter and she is very nice. Her book sounds wicked–haha!– and every time she tweets it she also shares a picture of a murky and foggy ocean-side. How tantalizing!
The Shatter Me series started slow for me. I read it more because it was mindless angst-filled entertainment. However, when I read Ignite Me I actually fell in love. This means that I am so excited for the book… and so nervous! What is this tragedy the in the synopsis? Please don’t be who I think it could be!
It has the phrase Stranger Things in the synopsis and the cover is A+. It manages to be beautiful and convey a sense of foreboding.
I really liked Gaughen’s Scarlet trilogy although I haven’t read the last one yet. This one sounds just as good. I don’t read many books set in the desert so I am delighted with the prospect of those different descriptions!
I loved and reviewed Daughter of the Burning City so I am so excited to step back into a world created by Foody. I’m sure her descriptions will be just as enticing in this second book!
Genderbent Beowulf re-imagining? SO COOL.
Let’s chat! These aren’t the only books I’ve already added to my tbr for 2018 but they are the ones I’ll probably read first! Which ones will you read first?
Do you guys ever get anxious that a book by an author you’ve come to admire isn’t going to stand up to your expectations? Some of these have me worried because I want them to be so good.
Thanks for reading!
