Top Ten Books I Hope Santa Brings!

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by one of the best blogs out there, The Broke and The Bookish. Click on the link to see their selections!

The books on this list are both older, some that I haven’t gotten around to reading the past few years because of school, and newer releases that I’m psyched to see under that tree!

The Last Namsara By Kristen Ciccarelli

So I’ve seen a lot of people receive this book. It was in more than one book subscription box and everyone who received it has been so excited about it. However, I haven’t seen a lot of people actually read it. I’m excited for the dragons!

Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard

This is a book that I missed because I was in college. I had also read another really hyped fantasy that was released close to this on my limited time from school and it was a dud for me so I didn’t want to pick up another that would disappoint me. Yet I think this one is going to be good and I can read the rest of the series!

Stalking Jack The Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco

Unlike the first book, I have seen so many people read and love this book. They talk very highly of the protagonist who is a woman of science in a time where it was very discouraged.

Understanding English Grammar by Betty S. Azar and Stacy A. Hagan

I took an English Grammar and Composition class last year but I don’t think I took as much advantage of it as I should have. If I ever want to get into copywriting, I want to completely understand grammar. It could even help on this blog!

The Bucket List: 1000 Adventures Big & Small by Kath Stathers

I think it would be fun to read through this and try to go on bigger and bigger adventures. One of my goals for next year is to learn another language so I am excited to get out of my comfort zone in preparation for maybe traveling out of the country.

Ready Player One by Ernest Cline

This one I have been meaning to read forever and now I have extra incentive because the movie is coming out.

When Breath Becomes Air by Paul Kalanithi

A nonfiction so I can expand the genres that I read in. I have heard this one is really meaningful.

Word By Word by Kory Stamper

I haven’t heard anything about this one but it’s about words! That is very exciting and completely intriguing to me.

Stillhouse Lake by Rachel Caine

I saw this on one of the blogs I follow, Lynn’s Book Blog (go check her out!) It is an adult thriller, which I am really interested in right now!

The Hearts We Sold by Emily Lloyd-Jones

Another one I haven’t heard much about even though it is YA. I think that it sounds like an excellent Leah book.

Let’s chat! What’s on your list? Do you also have trouble with telling multiple people the same books and then their confusion? I sure do!

Thanks for reading!

About Leah

Hi! I'm Leah. I like books, TV, and plants. I love writing about it all. Earnest Hemmingway said "Write hard and clear about what hurts," and I aspire to do just that. Thanks for reading!

  1. Stalking Jack the Ripper is a book I definitely fancy and is on my wishlist. I didn’t know Ready Player One was being made into a film – great new, I can’t wait, I really enjoyed it It will be interesting to see how it translates onto the big screen.
I hope you love the Rachel Caine book – I thoroughly enjoyed it and in fact I think the second is about due out – must go and check.
