Top Ten Books on My Winter TBR

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme graciously hosted by The Broke and The Bookish. Click on that link to see what their answers were and to see what everyone else that linked up said as well!

TBR posts are my favorite posts to do! I love reading them and sharing so we can all get ideas of new things to read. It’s so fun to hype up books and talk about what you’ve read with others. I love when people comment that a book I want to read is really good.

Basically all the books on my winter tbr list are from boyfriend. He spoils me. 🙂

Retribution Rails by Erin Bowman

Vengeance Road was one of my best reads this year and I know this is going to be great. I know it.

The Half-Drowned King by Linnea Hartsuyker

I’m watching The Vikings right now and the little card that the Barnes and Noble employees put up recommended this so I hope this one’s as good as they say.

Jane, Unlimited by Kristin Cashore

I know that some people didn’t enjoy this but, honestly, I think I’m going to love it. It’s seems like the type of time book that I might like.

Strange The Dreamer by Laini Taylor

I’ve only heard good things about this one! It seems so dreamy. I can’t wait to see the magic and be immersed in Laini Taylor’s words again.

Murder on The Orient Express by Agatha Christie

Have you seen the movie for this one? No spoilers but did you enjoy it! I want to read it so I can go see! I’m excited to read the queen of mystery.

The Lie Tree by Frances Hardinge

I read and reviewed A Face Like Glass [if you couldn’t guess by the green highlight, click on this for my review] and it was good and a lot of people say this is better.

The Essex Serpent by Sarah Perry

This was a cover buy. I hope it is as beautiful as the cover.

The Complete Stories by Flannery O’Connor

Flannery O’Connor was my favorite classic author that I read in college. I planned to get this for myself as a graduation present but never did. I’m so glad to have it now as I can read a story every now and then and take lots of pictures of it!

The Rules of Magic by Alice Hoffman

My book of the month for November! I wish I could have read it in October but I think it could also be a snowy read.

The Roses of May by Dot Hutchison

The Butterfly Garden is amazing and I recommend it highly! I can’t wait to see what creepyness Hutchison has to offer.

Let’s chat! I will not be getting to all of these. My reading is not that fast yet! I have considered which I will try to get to the fastest and I think I’m going to try to read Murder on The Orient Express so I can try to see the movie before it goes out and the rest is up to my emotion of the second that I choose!

What is your absolute first priority book to finish before the end of the year? Have you read the amount of books you planned to this year? Are you so so excited for reading with the snow falling gently outside, curled up in a blanket? I AM!

Thank you for reading!

About Leah

Hi! I'm Leah. I like books, TV, and plants. I love writing about it all. Earnest Hemmingway said "Write hard and clear about what hurts," and I aspire to do just that. Thanks for reading!

  1. Oh I hope you’ll love Strange The Dreamer! I haven’t read anything by this author just yet, but from what you wrote here, you are already a fan of her books? 🙂
I hope you’ll get around to all of these books! Happy reading 🙂
